💳 Charged up front at order: the customer pays the setup fee up front (before shipping). Your box cost is internal COGS — lower when you redeploy a buyback box — and is not charged to the customer. The monthly subscription clock starts only when you slide the box to Active. Nothing ships until payment is captured.

Capture the order — the front door of every customer

Take the customer's details, plan, payment reference, and shipping address. Charge the setup fee now; the box ships once paid, and monthly billing starts on activation. Your box cost is internal COGS and is not charged to the customer.

Must match the box's registered name (used to activate).
Annual = 10× the monthly rate (2 months free) prepaid yearly — roughly halves churn. Default to annual.
